香港中西區美食---砵仔王@上環 Super Bowl King Traditional snack@Sheung Wan (By SPD4459)

After introducing meals of different restaurants, let have some snacks instead. When I recall the memories of the food, it still makes one run at  the mouth.

The Put chai Ko（砵仔糕）is a popular snacks for Hongkongers. It is the Chinese sticky rice puddings the molded shape by a small bowl. They are made by steamed sugar. There are usually brown or white in color and with red bean inside.

The Super Bowling King is the one of the famous shop that producing these transitional Cantonese snacks. not only POut Chai Ko （砵仔糕）,Chinese Shortbread (光酥餅), Swainsonine（馬荳糕），e.t.c. There are always lining up outside the shop. 

This time I chose the brown Put chai Ko with red bean and also the sweetmeat (蜜餞)-- lemon peel.

I love Chinese traditional snacks, however I don't like sweet favor. Usually, the Put Chai Ko are very sweet for me.The snacks of Super Bowl King is suitable for me, not too sweetly and when you bite it, you can smell the red beans' scene. And it texture, just a little bit sticky, not too over, every ingredients matched up perfectly.

Sweetmeat -- lemon peel ($12) 檸檬王

Since I am not feeling well with my sore throat, I chose this. Actually, the lemon peel are available to relieve the sore throat. It is not sour, but contain a little mint, it does help my throat feel better. 

Overall: This is a old fashion style of Cantonese traditional snacks. All of you should not miss it when you guys are in Sheung Wan . And it would also be a special souvenir  for your friends.
